PhD Student in Public and Environmental Law Hassan II University of Casablanca — FSJES Aïn Sebaa
Yasmine Taymi is a Moroccan jurist and PhD student in public and environmental law at Hassan II University of Casablanca (FSJES Aïn Sebaa). Her doctoral thesis addresses water policing and the criminal protection of the hydraulic public domain, examining how inspection, sanction and judicial practice can be strengthened to protect water resources in a country facing structural water stress. She holds a Master's degree in Environmental and Sustainable Development Law from Mohammed V University of Rabat, where her dissertation analysed environmental protection in Moroccan judicial practice, and a Bachelor's degree in Private Law from Hassan II University. She also holds the Moroccan Bar Aptitude Certificate (CAPA). She teaches, as a visiting lecturer, the Master's module "Environmental and Health Law" in Casablanca, and has co-authored research on criminal jurisprudence applied to the hydraulic public domain and on water policing under Moroccan Law No. 36-15. She works in Arabic, French and English, and is committed to advancing water governance and the rule of law across the Arab region and Africa.
