Nastassja Salem is a strategic communications consultant based in Cairo, working across MENA and Europe with mission-driven organizations, founders, and social impact initiatives. Her anchor engagement is with Ashoka Arab World, part of the world's largest network of social entrepreneurs, where she supports communications for regional programmes reaching young social innovators. Water has become a defining thread in her practice. In Cairo, she developed activities for the Nile Parade, a public art and community event on Qursaya Island that brings together artists, residents, and fishermen each year to mark Nile Day. In Qatar, she designed and delivered Nidaā's first immersive water experience at a farm site, built around the location's natural aquifer, in collaboration with a sound artist, a filmmaker, and a water policy scholar. Living between Cairo and Doha - a river city and a scarcity city - has shaped her belief that effective water policy depends on translation: moving technical and institutional language into forms that communities, artists, and cultural platforms can actually carry forward. She brings twelve years of narrative and communications experience, and a regional network across Egypt, the Gulf, and Europe, to that work.
