Jonah Mwangi is a Kenyan social entrepreneur and youth leader working at the intersection of water security, climate resilience, sustainable agriculture and inclusive food systems. He serves in a leadership role at Inua Damsite CBO, a youth-led community organisation based in Nyandarua County that supports smallholder farmers, women and young people to build more resilient livelihoods. Through Inua Damsite CBO, Jonah has contributed to the development of a community-based solar-powered agroprocessing hub that reduces post-harvest losses and helps communities maximise the value of water, land and other resources invested in food production. His work also includes promoting Good Agricultural Practices, soil and water conservation, climate-smart agriculture, digital market linkages and youth-led enterprise development. Jonah is particularly interested in connecting grassroots experience with policy and global development processes. He advocates for community-led water stewardship, stronger youth participation in decision-making, and practical solutions that link water security with food security, livelihoods and ecosystem protection. His goal is to help build a generation of young leaders capable of advancing locally led and scalable climate and water solutions across Africa.
