Hamad Murad Mohamed Alhooti

Hamad Alhouti is a Marine Sciences student at the University of Khorfakkan in the United Arab Emirates, with a strong interest in marine conservation, water sustainability, ecosystem restoration, and youth-led innovation. He is the Vice President of the Youth Council at the Arab Science and Technology Foundation, where he works to support young researchers and strengthen collaboration between youth, scientific institutions, and decision-makers across the Arab region. Hamad developed Sustainable Oceans, an award-winning initiative that combines marine ecosystem restoration, food security, and smart environmental monitoring. The project received first place at the Sharjah Government Communication Award. His experience spans marine research, sustainability initiatives, science communication, and youth engagement. Through his work, Hamad aims to bridge the gap between scientific research and practical action, while contributing to solutions that strengthen water security and protect marine and coastal ecosystems. He is particularly passionate about empowering young people to participate meaningfully in science, sustainability, and environmental decision-making.
