Gor Khachatryan
PhD in Biology; Junior Researcher at the Scientific Center of Zoology and Hydroecology (SCZH), National Academy of Sciences of Armenia; Research Assistant at the American University of Armenia (AUA) Scientific Center of Zoology and Hydroecology (SCZH); American University of Armenia (AUA).
Gor Khachatryan holds a PhD in Biology and is a Junior Researcher at the Scientific Center of Zoology and Hydroecology (SCZH), National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. He is also currently working as a Research Assistant at the American University of Armenia (AUA). His academic and professional background is in hydrometeorology, hydroecology, and environmental sciences. His research interests focus mainly on aquatic ecosystems, water quality, environmental pollution, trace elements, ecological risk assessment, and sustainable management of water resources. His PhD research focused on the ecological assessment of pollution of rivers in the Lake Sevan catchment basin by potentially bioavailable trace elements. During his academic and professional career, he has participated in various international conferences, workshops, training programs, and research initiatives in Armenia and abroad. He is particularly interested in interdisciplinary approaches that connect environmental science, climate change, biodiversity, and sustainable development. Gor is motivated to continue developing his scientific and professional skills, strengthen international cooperation, and contribute to practical and evidence-based solutions for environmental challenges.
