Evelyn Andrea Mangove

Evelyn Andrea Mangove is a Mozambican civil engineer currently pursuing a master's in Environmental Engineering in Italy. She is passionate about water security, climate resilience, sustainable development, and meaningful youth participation. After graduating from Pune University in India with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, she returned to Mozambique and worked for over two years in public institutions responsible for providing water and sanitation services to both rural and peri-urban areas of Mozambique. Her experience includes water supply, sanitation and desalination infrastructure, stakeholder coordination, and humanitarian WASH. She was awarded a scholarship by the Italian Government to pursue her Master's in Environmental Engineering, where her research focuses on saltwater intrusion and its impacts on water resources. She was also selected for the Mandela Washington Fellowship at the University of California, Davis, and is an active member of the BRS Conventions Chemicals and Waste Youth Platform. Evelyn strongly believes that young people have a crucial role to play in creating a sustainable world, and that this is only possible with the right knowledge, skills, and resources.
