Ekoja Deborah Ene

Deborah Ene Ekoja is a final-year Geology student at the University of Jos, Nigeria, with interests in environmental engineering, sustainable cities, and water resource management. She is passionate about advancing sustainable solutions through research, leadership, and youth engagement. Her experience spans water, sustainability, youth development, and geoscience leadership. As a Young WASH Professional, she has participated in conversations on water security, governance, and sustainable development. She has also contributed to research and discussions on groundwater management and represented her team at the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS) Conference. Deborah currently serves as President of the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) Student Chapter at the University of Jos, where she has led initiatives focused on student engagement, professional development, and collaboration. She also serves as a facilitator at the Fort Institute, supporting the development of emerging young leaders. She is passionate about creating opportunities for young people, building knowledge and capacity, and contributing to solutions that promote environmental sustainability and resilient communities.
