Ejike Kizito Odo
Associate Head Geospatial Intelligence and Survey GIS Achievers Foundation
Ejike Kizito Odo is a GIS and Remote Sensing professional, environmental advocate and youth leader from Nigeria. He serves as Associate Head, Geospatial Intelligence and Survey at CitiBIM Nigeria Limited. He also founded and leads GIS Achievers Foundation, where he directs community based work on urban flooding, watershed protection and climate resilience. In Gombe State, he led hydrological and erosion modelling using satellite data to produce flood risk vulnerability maps. In Jabi, Abuja, he directed a drainage restoration project, mobilising 15+ volunteers to clear 500+ metres of drainage and mapping flood hotspots. In Lokogoma, he led an early warning and sanitation initiative, coordinating removal of 20 tonnes of debris ahead of the rainy season using an AI powered mapping system. He has built Earth Observation tools monitoring drought, vegetation and environmental change across Nigeria. GIS Achievers Foundation has trained 500+ young people in GIS and remote sensing. He hosted a webinar on urban flooding that drew 34 unique countries among 59 attendees. Ejike believes water resilience requires geospatial evidence, and that communities need to be equipped to act on it. His goal is to bring this approach and GIS Achievers Foundation's network into GYWEP's work on water for the planet.
