Danielle Kamtié is a World Bank Water Champion and Co-Founder of the African Youth Parliament for Water a pan-African youth governance organization active across 25 African countries, mobilizing +30 000 youth leaders, and working at the intersection of water governance, gender equality, climate resilience, and community accountability. In April 2026, Danielle delivered the opening statement at the Water Forward launch at the World Bank Group Spring Meetings, the largest coordinated global water initiative ever launched. Danielle co-moderated the Africa Dialogue Series Youth Stage at the United Nations(UN), a high-level panel during COP28, and delivered Canada's official youth statement during CSW69 at the UN. She serves as Global Partnerships Coordinator for Africa and Climate Justice at KAIROS Canada, leading a $5M funded programme on women peacebuilders in DRC and South Sudan, and sits on the Steering Committee of the Women Peace and Security Network Canada. Danielle is currently launching the Youth Policy Revitalisation and Implementation Labs, an 18-country programme in partnership with UNU-INWEH with World Bank support, aiming to train young leaders from the African continent to monitor Water Forward compact commitments ahead of the 2026 UN Water Conference. Bilingual in English and French, she bridges Anglophone and Francophone Africa simultaneously.
