Bandgar Rishikesh
Co-Founder and Director Wayfield Agricultural Technology Pvt. Ltd.
Bandgar Rishikesh is Co-Founder and Director of Wayfield Agricultural Technology, a DPIIT-recognised Indian venture working with smallholder and tribal farming communities. Agriculture consumes the overwhelming majority of the freshwater humanity withdraws, and the households that grow the most food on the least water are the ones least able to absorb a failed season. Wayfield works at exactly that point: an advisory platform used by 115,210 smallholder farmers, alongside regenerative practice and fair market linkage for families whose entire risk position rests on rainfall they do not control. He is a 2026 Satyarthi Fellow. He has represented his work at the Paris Peace Forum, was selected by the FAO World Food Forum, and reached the semifinals of the Rockefeller Foundation's Big Bets Climate Challenge. He has mentored more than 25,000 students since 2017 and serves on the core team of ISM Angels. His current work is on capital: designing blended-finance structures that move affordable credit to the farming households conventional lenders will not underwrite, on the view that water-resilient agriculture is ultimately a financing problem as much as a technical one. Rishikesh brings this financing and smallholder lens to the Global Youth Water Envoys Program.
